The Jones Library is the public library for the town of Amherst, Massachusetts. Our Special Collections department preserves, promotes, and makes accessible the history of Amherst. With a focus on the history and literary heritage of Amherst and the surrounding Pioneer Valley, our collections include local history and genealogy resources, rare books, manuscripts, organizational records, photographs, and maps. We also have extensive collections on Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost.
