Photograph collection of Essex Agricultural and Technical High School, an independent regional vocational school, specializing in agricultural eduction, state funded, day school serving grades 9-12 in the Hathorne, Town of Danvers, Mass., which was founded in 1913, and continues to serve students from the entire state, with transportation provided to those within a 20 mile radius of the school. The collection was used as part of a Northeast Massachusetts Regional Library System digitization projects. Subjects of the 167 black and white photographs include farms of Albert Elwell, Chester Ellis, Norman Morgan, Leonard E. Russell, Melvin Grey, Harold Rogers, Hartwell Reid, and others; school gardens; John E. Eastwood, an instructor; Greycroft Inn (Beverly, Mass.); women students wearing clothes made in homemaking class; asparagus fields near the school; dairy cows being groomed; milking; poultry classes at several farms; roadside stands; freshman football team; school orchestra; gasoline engine at the school used for sawing lumber; and exhibits at the Topsfield Fair.
