The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) owns various historic and contemporary art paintings that are displayed across DCR’s parks, watershed, and administrative offices.
Some of these paintings were donated by local artists, while others were inherited by the Commonwealth when it acquired property for state park purposes.
